🌸 How To Self-Tan: Hands & Wrists 🌸

This part of your body can be one of the most tricky places to apply self-tanner while still making it look natural and without getting stains on your palms and fingers. Here are some step-by-step instructions to get a flawless glow that extends to your hands and wrists!

Step One ~Apply self-tanner to the rest of your body first. Do your hands and wrists last. Since you need to wear gloves or a mitt to tan the rest of your body, you would not want to rub off the self tanner on your hands by doing them first.

Step Two ~ There are two ways you can apply depending on the consistency of your self-tanner. If you purchased a lotion (like our Golden Star Beauty Self-tanning Lotion), you can squeeze a pearl-sized amount to the back of one of your hands. If your self-tanner is more of a an oil-based spray (like our Golden Star Beauty Self-tanning Oil), a kabuki brush will be the perfect tool - just use 1-2 pumps on the kabuki brush per hand/wrist.

Step Three ~ If you applied lotion directly to the back of your hand, keeping your fingers together (to avoid getting the lotion between your fingers), rub the backs of your hands together and over your fingers and the tops and bottoms of your wrists. Try not to get any on the palms of your hands. If you are using a kabuki brush, keep your fingers together and use the brush to apply to wrists and the back of your hands. Avoid area around your fingernails as the tend to soak up more product and turn orange.

Step Four ~ Use a damp cloth or baby wipe to remove access tanner from your palms and fingers.

Happy tanning!
